WHAT IS EMBROIDERY?
Embroidery is a process where thread is stitched into your custom product. Logo embroidery is used most often for apparel that will be used for uniforms or promotions. Millions of companies wear logo embroidered shirts to identify and promote their company logos and image. Most embroidered logos are done on the left chest and look really good on polo shirts, button-down shirts, caps and hats, sweatshirts, jackets and bags.
With embroidery you can create a professional look. Some logos may have to be altered a little if embroidery is the preferred method though, because it is very difficult to recreate shading using threads. Embroidery machines have been developed with multiple heads that will allow you to embroider 2, 4, 6 or even 10 pieces at a time saving on costs to set up each logo which is passed along to the customer!
USES FOR EMBROIDERY
Embroidery is the perfect way to customise your staff’s uniforms and creates excellent brand recognition. Firstly, your design is setup within a special file format called a DST file. We will use this file and the running sheet to tell our machines exactly how your embroidery designs should be done to ensure a perfect finish.
After the file has been sent to the machine, the garments are then fixed into place using a special support, which clamps the embroidered area of the garment so it is tight and will not move.
Finally, thread colours are added to the machine and the design is stitched onto the garment.
HOW IT WORKS
Digitizing – Converting artwork/logo into embroidery format using special software and can become expensive for complex, detailed or large graphics.
Sewing – The digitized artwork/logo will be loaded into computerized embroidery machine for sewing. Sewing consist of 3 steps which are Framing, embroidery and trimming.
Embroidery is only running by machines, the quality of embroidery printing are always depends on the machines and technician skills and experiences.
There are many types of stitch used with the embroidery process, but the two most common are Satin and Fill type stitches. The Satin Stitch is very basically a loop of thread and a Fill Stitch involves much more thread and is mainly used for filling in blocks of colour or for wide lettering.
